About

Mission

The Blog for Family Dinner Project (B4FD) is dedicated to creating a community of people who care about food, family, health and the environment and who believe that family dinner is a powerful force for good.

We launched the Blog for Family Dinner Project in the Fall of 2011 and are continuing the project through 2012. We are currently publishing posts at least weekly, centered on themes that busy families can relate to, like involving kids in family meals and how “all kinds of families” can benefit from a communal table. See our current themes here.

We would love for YOU to get involved! Please submit a blog post,  spread the word  or show your support for B4FD!

History of B4FD Project:

From September 26, 2011 (Family Day, CASA)* to October 24, 2011 (Food Day, CSPI)*,  we featured daily blog posts that explored the far-reaching benefits of family dinner, while acknowledging the challenges for busy families. Bloggers from all over and all walks of life took part in the campaign and we have had over 50 writers contribute their expertise and individual perspectives. The blog posts featured a wide-range of personal stories, advice, resources, recent research and recipes, and all served as inspiration to readers trying to make family dinner work for them.

Blog for Family Dinner (B4FD) was created by the founders of EatDinner.org, Time at the Table, and Dinner Together as a not-for-profit collaboration.

We would love for YOU to get involved! Please submit a blog postspread the word  or show your support for B4FD!
